The New Protest Art: Why Our Culture Needs Public Sacred Art

Thursday, April 29, 2021

6:00 pm EDT - 7:00 pm EDT

Live Streamed

Catholic Information Center

1501 K Street NW
Washington, DC 20005 United States

Description

On Thursday April 29th at 6:00pm ET, we invite you to join us for an in-person conversation, virtual studio tour and artwork unveiling with painter Andrew de Sa.

We are excited to unveil a monumental new work of art, The Salvation Triptych by Andrew de Sa. This larger than life series of paintings , which will be displayed for a time at the Catholic Information Center, aims to draw the viewer into the cosmic story of Christianity. In addition to giving us a virtual tour of his studio, the artist will lead a conversation on the mind-shaping power of images and the exciting role that artists play in evangelizing a society increasingly unfamiliar with the Christian story.

The event was co-sponsored by Studio de Sa, a family run sacred art and music studio. Learn more about the pieces at http://studiodesa.com/triptych
