Has secularization reached its limits? Is science pointing us back toward faith in God? Is there a religious “vibe shift” in Generation Z?
The Institute for Human Ecology (IHE) and the CIC are delighted to invite you to our next co-sponsored event, “Is There a Religious Comeback?” on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 7:00 PM. This program will take place at Heritage Hall in Father O’Connell Hall at the Catholic University of America (599 Michigan Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20064).
We invite you to join IHE Media Fellow Ross Douthat and Spencer Klavan to discuss their new books, Believe: Why Everyone Should Be Religious and Ancient Wisdom for 5 Modern Crises, on the reasonability of religion, the shifting spiritual landscape of American society, and the promise (and perils) of a new religious era. IHE Scholar and Professor of Theology Dr. Chad Pecknold will moderate the discussion, grounding the conversation in realities both earthly and divine.
The CIC will be selling limited copies of the new books on site by Ross Douthat and Spencer Klavan—which will be available at a discount.
This event is free and open to the public. A reception with refreshments will follow.
Register at the IHE’s website.
Spencer A. Klavan is a scholar, writer and podcaster.
Ross Douthat is a successful author and a columnist for the New York Times op-ed page.
Dr. Chad Pecknold received his PhD from the University of Cambridge (UK) and since 2008 he has been a Professor of Historical & Systematic Theology in the School of Theology at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He teaches in the areas of fundamental theology, Christian anthropology, and political theology.
