About the Speaker
Bishop William D. Byrne is a native of Washington, DC and was appointed in October 2020 by Pope Francis to be the 10th Bishop of Springfield in Massachusetts. He was ordained and installed by Cardinal Sean O’Malley on December 14, 2020. Previously he served as the pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Potomac, Maryland.
