Rev. Wilson D. (Bill) Miscamble, C.S.C.

Rev. Wilson D. (Bill) Miscamble, C.S.C. is a priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross and a Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. The Australian native was educated at the University of Queensland and then at Notre Dame. He was ordained a priest on April 9, 1988.  Fr. Miscamble’s primary research interests are American foreign policy since World War II and the role of Catholics in 20th century U.S. politics and foreign relations. He has published a number of important books and articles in these areas. Father Miscamble also has notable interests in the areas of Catholic higher education and Catholics and public life and he lectures and writes on these topics.  He holds the Randall Chair in Catholic Culture at Providence College during the 2019-2020 academic year.
