Fr. Andrew J. Fisher
Fr. Andrew J. Fisher is a priest of the Diocese of Arlington and pastor of St. Timothy Church in Chantilly, VA. Previously, he was pastor of St. Ambrose Church in Annandale, VA from 2011-2026.
Fr. Fisher is a native of Northern Virginia where he grew up attending St. Rita Church in Alexandria, VA. He is a graduate of Gonzaga High School in Washington, DC. Father attended Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md. where he played four years of NCAA Division One baseball. He also attended Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood on May 16, 1998, by Arlington Bishop Thomas J. Welsh, after the death of Bishop John R. Keating March 22, 1998.
He has served as parochial vicar of St. William of York Church in Stafford, 1998; Queen of Apostles Church in Alexandria, 2007; and the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington, 2009. Father also served as Director of Liturgy at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington from 2001-2007. In 2011, he was named pastor of St. Ambrose by Bishop Emeritus Paul S. Loverde.
Fr. Fisher is a magistral chaplain for the Order of Malta; a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre; chaplain for Catholic Athletes for Christ; and a member of the Historical Commission of the Martyrs of La Florida.
