Luke Burgis

Luke Burgis is Director of the Cluny Project and a seasoned entrepreneur, educator, and author. He serves on the faculty of the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, where he helps lead the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship.

Burgis is the author of Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life (2021), The One and the Ninety-Nine: Forging Identity in the Age of Social Contagion (2026), and co-author of Unrepeatable: Cultivating the Unique Calling of Every Person. He is the editor of the volume Be Not Conformed: René Girard at the Intersection of Athens, Jerusalem, and Silicon Valley (2026).

He lives in Washington, DC and Western Michigan with his wife, Claire, and their children.
