1:00 pm EDT - 2:00 pm EDT
Kathleen Beckman asked eleven women to write about their experiences with the power of prayer “to strengthen an army of praying women united for the many spiritual and temporal needs of the human family.” None of us have any doubt these days that the need is great — and in our beloved Church too, as so many of us are shaken by the scandalous news of this summer. Kathryn Jean Lopez, one of the eleven chapter authors, discusses the urgency for women to “save the peace of the world,” as recent popes have put it, in loving, fervent, prayerful intercession.
Kathleen and Kathryn will discuss practical ways to become “contemplatives in action” for “such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).
Kathleen Beckman is co-founder of the Foundation of Prayer for Priests and author of When Women Pray and Praying for Priests (a second edition of which is being released this Fall).
