Description
How should Christians understand and navigate the challenges of life in 21st century America? What characterizes our time and how should we live in it as Christians, as parents, as human beings? Fare Forward, a magazine written and produced by young adults, has a put together a print issue that includes explorations of these questions. Join us for a panel with three authors from the issue as they discuss their pieces and the questions and issues they raise.About the Speakers
Josh Alexakos is a recent graduate of Dartmouth College. He currently lives and works in D.C. His piece in this issue of Fare Forward is a review of Karl Polanyi’s The Great Transformation.
Brandon McGinley is a writer and editor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His writing has appeared in print in National Review, The Human Life Review, the Catholic Herald, the Scottish Catholic Observer, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and online at First Things, Public Discourse, and The Week, among other venues. He has also contributed to and edited books for Our Sunday Visitor Catholic publishers. Brandon and his wife, Katie, have three young children. His piece in this issue of Fare Forward is entitled “Detachment Parenting.”
Jose Mena has served as a web editor for Fare Forward, and his writing has appeared in Fare Forward, as well as in Ethika Politika and the Catholic Herald. He was a co-founder of the Tradinista project, and has contributed to the Josias. He tweets @go_oat. His piece in this issue of Fare Forward is entitled “After Liberalism: Towards a Politics of the Common Good”
