The CIC is pleased to honor Alvaro de Vicente as the 15th recipient of our John Paul II New Evangelization Award on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.

Mr. de Vicente has been the Headmaster of The Heights School in Potomac, Maryland since 2002. He is a distinguished champion of education as a vital transmission of culture, integrating rigorous classical learning with deep spiritual and moral formation.

Moreover, as an educator of educators, he serves as a trusted mentor and thought leader to teachers and administrators across the country. By articulating and sharing a Catholic anthropological vision of education with thousands of parents and educators nationwide, he demonstrates an extraordinary and dynamic commitment to bearing witness to the Gospel in the contemporary world as envisioned by Saint John Paul II.
