DESCRIPTION:The CIC and the Thomistic Institute invite you to join Fr. Gregory Pine\, OP\, for a presentation on his latest book\, Training the Tongue and Growing Beyond Sins of Speech. This program takes place on Wednesday\, July 29\, 2026 at the Catholic Information Center at 6:00 PM EDT. \nRegister to attend either in-person or virtually through a YouTube livestream. Training the Tongue is available for sale at the CIC’s bookstore. \nJuly 29th Schedule:\n\n5:45 pm: Doors open for registrant check-in\n6:00 pm: “Training the Tongue” presentation (this portion of the evening will be offered both in-person and virtually via a livestream)\n7:00 pm: Booksigning with Fr. Pine and a light happy hour social\n8:00 pm: Evening Concludes\n\nAbout Fr. Pine’s Book:\nGossip. Lying. Flattery. Crass words. As we grow in Christian maturity\, many of us are aware that we fall frequently into sins of speech. We realize instinctually that these faults are holding us back from the fullness of life. But what can we do about them? \nTraining the Tongue and Growing Beyond Sins of Speech promises to help us attain verbal virtue.
