DESCRIPTION:The CIC welcomes Leigh Fitzpatrick Snead and Ashley McGuire for a discussion of Snead’s book\, Infertile but Fruitful: Finding Fulfillment When You Can’t Conceive. This presentation takes place on Thursday\, December 3\, 2026 at 6:00 PM EST. \nThe program will be offered both in-person at the CIC and virtually through a YouTube livestream\, followed by a booksigning with Snead and a light happy hour. Some married couples find the suffering so raw and intimate that they are unable even to lean on each other. By sharing her story\, Leigh Snead aims to encourage open\, informed\, and generous dialogue about infertility among infertile men and women\, the subfertile\, the secondarily infertile\, those with normal fertility\, and the robustly fecund. \nYou are not alone. SUMMARY:Advent Family Day Book Party: "Saintly Adventures" by Alexi Sargeant
DESCRIPTION:The CIC invites DC-area kids and parents to our family-friendly Advent party on Saturday\, December 5th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A 9:00 AM family Mass will be offered as well\, followed by a snack time for the children and coffee break for moms and dads. \nWe will be joined by children’s book author\, Alexi Sargeant. Alexi will kick the morning off with a reading and little lesson\, followed by the Family Day Advent Party with crafts\, food\, and fun. During the party\, parents will have the special opportunity to buy the book and chat with the author. \nAttendees are also welcome to shop from our array of Christmas gifts at the CIC’s bookstore. \nThe CIC is located at 1501 K Street\, NW.
